MBMG Flash – 👉 No Covid-19 Test on Arrival✅
No More Covid Tests Required
From 01st May, 2022 arrivals to Thailand will no longer need to have a test at the airport or spend a night in quarantine providing that they are fully vaccinated (two vaccines and a booster). However, non-Thais will still need to register online to obtain the Thailand pass prior to arriving which takes 3-7 working days to approve.
To obtain the Thailand Pass, foreigners will need to provide their vaccination certificate(s) and a copy of their passport ID page, as well as documental evidence of insurance that covers a minimum of USD 10,000 for medical treatment in Thailand during your planned stay.
Thailand scrapped the need for a Covid-19 test for the fully vaccinated prior to arriving at the beginning of April.
Travel isn’t Limited to the Fully Vaccinated
If you haven’t been vaccinated at all or aren’t fully vaccinated, then you can have the test 72 hours before arriving and providing that it’s negative then send this result (and the documents described above) when registering for the Thailand Pass. No additional test is required upon arrival.
If you are unvaccinated and haven’t had a Covid-19 test within 72 hours prior to flying, then you will need to stay five nights in quarantine once arriving and test on day four or five. To obtain the Thailand Pass you need to have all the documents above and the booking confirmation and payment for your Alternative Quarantine (AQ) hotel.
Reapply for Thailand Pass to avoid Quarantine
Note that travelers whose Thailand Pass has already been issued prior to the announcement can travel with the used QR code and do not need to register again. However, for those that want to avoid quarantine and follow the new rules then they must reapply for a new Thailand Pass.
